Entering their fifth match of the tournament, South Africa and Bangladesh will be squaring off against each other in the 23rd match of the ongoing ODI World Cup on Tuesday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. South Africa’s World Cup campaign has been incredibly roaring with their abundantly extensive performances so far in their previous four matches. South Africa have won three matches out of their four fixtures having played by them. Proteas had a terrific start to their World Cup campaign with their masterful victories against Sri Lanka and Australia as they had huge victories against these teams while maintaining the margin of about more than hundred in both games. Amid their smooth conduct of victories, South Africa had a baffling disappointment to deal with after their shocking defeat at the hands of Netherlands but proteas bounced back with the humongous 229-run win against England. They are third in the points table as they look to record more such victories for themselves. 

South Africa can’t complain enough about their performance with their batters and bowlers being impressive in each of their past four matches. Against Bangladesh, they wouldn’t be carrying much concern as they’re already carrying the brilliance to pin down Bangladesh, however, their shocking defeat against Netherlands will serve as an alarming reminder to no go easy against Bangladesh. Looking at Bangladesh, Bangladesh played their last match against India last week which they lost by seven wickets where they also missed their regular skipper Shakib Al Hasan who didn’t play the game due to an injury. Going into the match against South Africa, Bangladesh will be with their skipper Shakib Al Hasan who is set to return to help the team but doubts are looming large over the presence of Taskin Ahmed who is going through a shoulder injury which could hamper his presence for the match against South Africa. Bangladesh would look up to Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das for runs as they both have been the top-run getters for the team. Bangladesh have only won one match from their last four matches. Overall, Bangladesh and South Africa have played (24) ODI matches where South Africa have carried the upper hand with their (18) victories while Bangladesh have won (6) matches.
