As the upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL) nears its start, Rajasthan Royals’ skipper Sanju Samson has joined the squad. The wicketkeeper-batter, who underwent surgery on his finger last month, has linked up with the squad. According to ESPNcricinfo, Samson was undergoing rehab at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, and it is still not confirmed whether Samson will keep the wickets right away.

If Samson is not fit, then Dhruv Jurel could be an option to take up the wicketkeeping duties. Meanwhile, Riyan Parag has recuperated from a finger injury and is set to start for Rajasthan Royals. Due to injury, Parag had missed T20Is against South Africa and England.

He recently made his return to action during the second phase of the Ranji Trophy. He scored a half-century and bowled 26 overs. Rajasthan Royals will begin their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 23.
