IPL 2025: Bowlers shine as Titans crush Mumbai

Mumbai Indians have suffered their second consecutive defeat of the ongoing IPL 2025 after being crushed by Gujarat Titans on Saturday in Ahmedabad. With a resounding 36-run victory, Gujarat mark their first win of the ongoing IPL season.
Titans put up a dominant performance, setting a target of 197, which their bowlers successfully defended, restricting Mumbai Indians to just 160/6 in 20 overs.
GT’s bowler Prasidh Krishna was exceptional, delivering a match-winning performance. He claimed 2 wickets for just 18 runs from his four overs, making a huge impact on MI’s chase. His victim also included MI’s explosive batter Suryakumar Yadav (48 off 28), who at times threatened to take the game away.
Another key figure in Titans’ success was Mohammed Siraj, whose early breakthroughs were pivotal. Siraj struck twice in the opening stages, dismissing both of MI’s openers Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton. For Mumbai, it was another disappointing outing as they struggled to build partnerships and lacked the momentum needed to chase down the challenging total.
