ENG vs IND, 2nd Test: Ravi Shastri expresses disappointment over India’s decision to leave Bumrah out
Former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has slammed India’s decision to rest premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah from the second Test against England that commenced on Wednesday at Edgbaston. Shastri was left disappointed, considering the importance of the second Test, which is crucial for India to win to bounce back in the five-match series. India, meanwhile, left out Bumrah to manage his workload.
“You have the best fast bowler in the world, and you make him sit out after seven days of rest. You know, it’s something very hard to believe," Shastri said on Sky Sports.

Bumrah was the main tormentor for England batters in the first Test, returning with a five-wicket haul. India, however, lost the game by five wickets. In place of Bumrah, India brought in Akash Deep as the replacement.
