GT crush SRH to cop comfortable win

Gujarat Titans, delivering an authoritative all-round performance, squeezed Sunrisers Hyderabad to clinch an 82-run win on Tuesday in Ahmedabad and move to the top of the IPL 2026 points table. GT fired in unison with both bat and ball to completely outclass Hyderabad in a one-sided clash. After being asked to bat, Gujarat Titans posted a competitive total of 168/5 in 20 overs, riding on impressive half-centuries from Sai Sudharsan and Washington Sundar.
The duo steadied the innings after an early setback to make sure GT finished with a challenging score. Sai Sudharsan, displaying his maturity, scored an important knock of 61. Washington Sundar stepped up at the right time, playing some elegant shots to rack up 50 runs off 33. Sunrisers Hyderabad began their chase of 169 in disastrous fashion. The powerplay turned into a nightmare for Hyderabad as they lost four wickets in quick succession.
The dismissals of Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head and Ishan Kishan inside the first six overs served as a massive blow. Hyderabad’s top order, which has often been their strength, failed to handle the bowling attack of Gujarat Titans. The pressure kept rising as wickets continued to tumble at regular intervals, with SRH being bowled out for 86 in 14.5 overs.
