IND-W vs ENG-W 1st T20I: India Women square off against England Women

India Women and England Women will be locking horns in the three-match T20I series beginning Wednesday with the first match to be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. All T20I matches are scheduled to be played at Wankhede in Mumbai. After the three-match T20I series, both teams would be up to play the One-Off Test match scheduled to begin from December (14) at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading Indian Women in the series amid the presence from Smriti Mandhana, Renuka Singh Thakur and Jemimah Rodrigues among others. England, on the other hand, will be led by Heather Knight in the presence of Sophia Dunkley, Danni Wyatt, Danielle Gibson and Natalie Sciver-Brunt among others. 

Both teams had last played against each other during the Women’s T20I World Cup in South Africa. England had carried the upper-hand in that match with their 11-run win. Looking at their head-to-head in T20Is, India and England Women have faced each other (27) times where India have only won seven games while England Women have registered their wins in (20) games. Heading into this series, India will have home advantage as they would look to outplay England Women to keep themselves on top under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur.
