IND-W vs ENG-W 2nd T20I: India seek course correction amidst England’s rise

Indian Women team will be hoping to get back to their best after their crashing defeat in the first T20I match against England Women on Wednesday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India Women are now gearing up to lock horns with England Women in the second T20I match on Saturday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The defeat in the first game has come as a huge disappointment for the team as it came on the home soil. England Women had beaten Indian Women by (38) runs to lead the series 1-0 and create their dominance over the Women in Blue. The performance from Indian Women hadn’t been up to the mark in the first game with experienced players like Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues failing to score with their only scores of (6) and (4) respectively. Shafali Verma was the top-scorer for the team with her 52-run knock.
To outplay England Women, India Women will need a collective show of performance from Their players. Players like Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues will need to step up their efforts to support the side in the batting department while their bowling department will demand some improvement with Pooja Vastrakar, Shreyanka Patil and Saika Ishaque being a lot more expensive in their spell in the 1st game. England, on the other side, had been assisted hugely by D Wyatt and Nat Sciver-Brunt in the batting order with their scores of (75) and (77) respectively. Their bowling unit also did fairly well. Going into the second T20I, England Women would hope to come stronger than before to seal the series win.
IND-W Probable XI: Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (wk), Shreyanka Patil, Kanika Ahuja, Pooja Vastrakar, Renuka Thakur Singh, Saika Ishaque
ENG-W Probable XI: Danielle Wyatt, Sophia Dunkley, Alice Capsey, Nat Sciver-Brunt, Heather Knight (c), Amy Jones (wk), Freya Kemp, Sophie Ecclestone, Sarah Glenn, Lauren Bell, Mahika Gaur
