In a must-win clash for India Women in the third and final T20I match against England Women, it was a collective effort from Women in Blue to cap off the series on a high note by beating England Women by (5) wickets on Sunday at Wankhede Stadium. Shreyanka Patil’s economic spell coupled with Smriti Mandhana’s 48-run knock helped India Women register a confident win. Deciding to bat, England Women scored (126) from (20) overs with skipper Heather Knight playing a major 52-run innings to steer the side to a fighting score. Chasing the total, India Women got the stability with the consistent innings from Smriti Mandhana but they lost their other opener Shafali Verma for a low score of (6). Coming in at No.3, Jemimah Rodrigues gave an in-depth support with her score of (29) to put the team on a victory road.
