AUS vs WI 3rd ODI: In a one-sided affair, Australia complete series sweep with eight-wicket win

It remained a one-sided affair as Australia again continued with their dominance over West Indies in the third and final ODI to win it by eight wickets to complete a comprehensive series whitewash on Tuesday at Manuka Oval.
Winning the toss and asking West Indies to bat, Australia's decision proved to be accurate as they restricted West Indies to a mere (86) runs, with Xavier Bartlett claiming four wickets. Lance Morris and Adam Zampa also gave breakthroughs with two wickets each to destroy West Indies.
From the very start, Australian bowlers displayed exemplary control and skill, exploiting the conditions effectively to keep the West Indies under huge pressure. West Indies, having come under pressure at the start, couldn’t make recovery, losing their wickets one after another. Opener Alick Athanaze remained the top-scorer for the team with his 32-run score.
Chasing a moderate target of (87) runs, Australian openers approached the game with confidence and composure with Jake Fraser-McGurk and Josh Inglis scoring (41) and (35) respectively. Jake, however, lost his wicket even Aaron Hardie, having come at no.3 lost his wicket after scoring (2) runs. Nonetheless, Josh Inglis (35*) and Steve Smith (6*) took Australia to an eight-wicket win in (6.5) overs to complete the series sweep.
