Jonny Bairstow not being in his best elements in previous games, showed his worth with bat, muscling nine sixes and eight boundaries.
Kolkata Knight Riders, inserted to bat, unleashed a relentless assault on the PBKS bowlers, with their top order firing on all cylinders. Explosive contributions from the likes of openers Phil Salt and Sunil Narine, whacking (75) and (71) respectively, propelled KKR to a formidable total of 261/4 in (20) overs, setting a daunting target for PBKS to chase. Massive cameo from skipper Shreyas Iyer smacking (28) off (10), involving three sixes and one four, put team in a greater position.
