Australia have stormed into the Super Eights of the ongoing T20I World Cup after beating Namibia by nine wickets in their first-ever encounter on Wednesday at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. Adam Zampa led from the front returning with four scalps and helping his side bowl out Namibia for a below par total of (72) in (17) overs.

Australia have advanced to the next stage of the tournament as they recorded their fastest-ever victory in this format. Adam Zampa dominated Namibia throughout their innings, frustrating the batters with his unplayable deliveries. Apart from Zampa, Josh Hazlewood and Marcus Stoinis took two wickets each, while Nathan Ellis and Pat Cummins claimed one scalp each.

In reply, Australia chased down the total in (5.4) overs, with Travis Head bludgeoning Namibia bowlers. David Warner, giving the team a nice start, lost his wicket after contributing (20) runs. While, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh remained unbeaten on (34) and (18) to ensure a productive victory for the team. As of now, Australia remain unbeaten with three victories on the bounce, demonstrating their prowess and solidifying their net run rate.

With the nervous result, Namibia have been knocked out of the tournament. Australia join South Africa to become the first teams to book their places in the Super 8s. For Namibia, skipper Gerhard Erasmus was the lone warrior with his hard-earned (36) runs but to no avail.
