Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed calls Kohli ‘childhood hero’

Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed has shared an emotional post on social media, calling India’s Virat Kohli his childhood hero. The post came just days after a thrilling clash between India and Pakistan, a match that saw Kohli score a stunning match-winning century. In the high-stakes encounter between the two teams, Kohli’s century was a masterclass in batting, further solidifying his standing as one of the game’s all-time greats.
"Bowling to my childhood hero Virat Kohli. Grateful for his appreciation—his greatness as a cricketer is only matched by his humility as a person. A true inspiration on and off the field!"
However, it wasn’t just Kohli who had a significant impact on the game. Abrar also made a key contribution for Pakistan. He claimed the precious wicket of Shubman Gill, who is one of India’s rising stars. Abrar was also under fire for his fiery send-off to Shubman Gill.
Meanwhile, Indian batter Kohli lauded Abrar’s incredible spell. Abrar returned with the figures of finishing 1 for 28 from his 10 overs. India had claimed a six-wicket victory over Pakistan, with Kohli leading the side to a thumping win with his unbeaten 100. That was Kohli’s 51st ODI hundred.
