Bouncing back from their last defeat, Punjab Kings produced a stellar all-round performance on Tuesday, claiming an 18-run victory over Chennai Super Kings in a high-scoring thriller. A dazzling 103 from opener Priyansh Arya and clinical bowling from their bowlers saw Punjab Kings outgun CSK on Tuesday night. Showing immense resilience, Punjab bowlers defended a challenging total of 219 to clinch the win.

Opting to bat first, Kings laid down the gauntlet with a commanding total of 219/6 in their 20 overs. Leading from the front was opener Priyansh Arya, whose exceptional knock of 103 runs was the cornerstone of their innings. His brilliant century allowed the side to build momentum right from the start. Arya’s knock was complemented by contributions from Shashank Singh (52*) and Marco Jansen (34*), who provided valuable support.

In response, CSK started their chase in thrilling fashion. Openers Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway gave the team a flying start. Ravindra, with a solid 36, and Conway, who played a blistering knock of 69, kept the scoreboard ticking and put the pressure on Punjab bowlers early in the innings.

However, the loss of captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was dismissed cheaply for just 1, put a dent in CSK's progress. Despite this setback, CSK continued to battle hard, with Shivam Dube providing some much-needed firepower. Dube’s quickfire 42 kept the chase alive, but it wasn’t sufficient as they were unable to build partnerships. In the end, Punjab bowlers tightened the screws and restricted CSK to 201/5 in 20 overs.
