Kohli, Padikkal star as RCB thrash PBKS

Royal Challengers Bengaluru churned out a commanding performance on Sunday as they outclassed Punjab Kings by seven wickets in Chandigarh. Chasing a modest target of 158, RCB batters made light work of the run chase, thanks to breathtaking performances from Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal. 

The duo anchored RCB’s chase effortlessly. Kohli led the charge with a fluent 73*, while Padikkal offered solid support with a classy 61. RCB reached the target comfortably in 18.5 overs, finishing at 159/3 and sealing a dominant win. 

Earlier, after being asked to bat, Kings could only manage to post 157/6 in 20 overs. Opener Prabhsimran Singh top-scored for the Punjab , scoring 33. Handy cameos from Shashank Singh and Josh Inglis, hitting (31*) and (29) further helped the team. Meanwhile, RCB spinners Krunal Pandya (2/25) and Suyash Sharma (2/26) shared four wickets between them to restrict Punjab to a manageable total.
