Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman travels to Dubai shortly after being signed by DC

Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman’s availability for the remainder of the IPL remains uncertain after the pacer travelled to Dubai for a two-match T20I series against the UAE. He put out a social media post confirming that he was travelling to Dubai with the Bangladesh squad. “Heading to UAE to play against them. Keep me in your prayers,” Mustafizur Rahman wrote.
The pacer was signed by Delhi Capitals as a temporary replacement for Jake- Fraser McGurk for the remainder of the IPL 2025. As for Jake- Fraser McGurk, he recently pulled out of the IPL. Meanwhile, as per reports, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) addressed that it has not been approached by BCCI to provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Mustafizur Rahman to play in IPL 2025. The BCB stated that neither Mustafizur nor the IPL has communicated to them for an NOC.
"Mustafizur is supposed to go with the team to the UAE according to the schedule. We have not received any communication from IPL officials. I have also not received any such official communication from Mustafizur either,” BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury told ESPNcricinfo.
Bangladesh are set to play two T20Is against the UAE on 17 and 19 May, while Delhi Capitals will take on Gujarat Titans on May 18.
