India name strong squads for women’s tour of England

India have named strong squads for their upcoming ODI and T20I series against England women, beginning June 28. On their tour of England, Indian women will be playing five T20Is followed by a three-match ODI series. Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading both the squads that are packed with seasoned campaigners. Shafali Verma, who has been named in India’s T20I squad for the first time since the T20I World Cup last year, has been left out of the ODIs.

Players like Kranti Goud, Sayali Satghare, N Shree Charani and Shuchi Upadhyay have been handed their maiden T20I call-ups. Meanwhile, Renuka Singh and all-rounder Shreyanka Patil were unable to make the cut due to their respective injuries.
