Rishabh Pant punished, fined INR 30 lakh

Lucknow Super Giants’ skipper Rishabh Pant has been fined INR 30 lakh for maintaining a slow-over rate during LSG’s match against RCB on Tuesday in Lucknow.
“As this was his team’s third offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct for minimum over-rate offences, Rishabh Pant was fined INR 30 Lakh," IPL said in a media release.
“The rest of the Playing XI, including the Impact Player, were each fined either INR 12 Lakh or 50 per cent of their respective match fees, whichever is lesser," the statement added.
Talking about the match, LSG suffered a heartbreaking six-wicket loss after Jitesh Sharma and Virat Kohli, with their blazing knocks of (85*) and (54) helped RCB clinch a dominant win. LSG skipper Rishabh Pant, however, ended his campaign on a positive note, pounding a classy 118 unbeaten. LSG capped off their IPL 2025 campaign with six wins from 14 games.
