England name squad for first Test against India
England have named a strong 14-player squad for the first Test of the five-match series against India, with Jamie Overton receiving a call. Overton gets back to the England side for the first time since last appearing for the side in a Test match against New Zealand in 2022 at Headingley.
Currently, he is managing a finger injury picked up in the first ODI against West Indies last week. Other notable players to have been included in the squad are Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Chris Woakes, Jacob Bethell and Ben Duckett. The first Test will begin on June 20 at Headingley Cricket Ground.
