Former Indian bowling coach Bharat Arun has underlined the significant importance of Kuldeep Yadav’s bowling in English conditions ahead of India’s five-match Test series against England. In less than two weeks, India are set to kick off their five-match Test series against England, with the first Test scheduled to begin on June 20 at Headingley. India’s relatively experienced squad will be led by young Shubman Gill, who was recently appointed India’s new Test skipper following the retirement of stalwart Rohit Sharma.

“Wrist spinners have always been effective, especially in England. Maybe even initially, when there is a little bit of dampness in the wicket, there is help for those wrist spinners. And also, the roughs that the bowlers create. But again, using the rough is a separate art. It's not just about bowling. I think somebody who instantly comes to our mind is Shane Warne. I think Kuldeep has got enough skills to be successful in England. If you look at this bowling attack, yes, it is relatively inexperienced, but it's got huge potential," Arun said on Revsportz.

India’s bowling attack, which will be led by Jasprit Bumrah, will be up against England’s formidable batting lineup boasting the likes of Ben Duckett, Joe Root, Harry Brook and Ben Stokes. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah would not be playing all five Test matches due to workload management. The Indian bowling unit has the likes of Mohammed Siraj, all-rounder Shardul Thakur, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh and Washington Sundar.
