Bangladesh have included batter Saif Hassan in the ODI squad for the first time, while wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan has earned a recall after a two-year absence. The changes come as Bangladesh announced their squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Afghanistan. Litton Das missed out on selection as he continues to recover from the side strain suffered during the Asia Cup.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz will lead the side that features the likes of Tanzid Hasan, Mohammad Naim, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali, and Shamim Hossain. All three matches will be held at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on October 8, 11, and 14, respectively. The series against Afghanistan is seen as a crucial part of Bangladesh’s preparation for the upcoming Men's Cricket World Cup 2027.
