Nepal and Oman have confirmed their spots in the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, set to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The qualification was secured even before their highly anticipated Super Six showdown in the Asia-East Asia Pacific (EAP) Qualifier, thanks to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Earlier in the day, UAE cruised to a dominant 77-run win over Samoa, clearing the way for Nepal and Oman to seal their spots.

Currently, Nepal and Oman sit unbeaten at the top with six points each. Now, with only one round of matches remaining, UAE can no longer mathematically overtake either side, ensuring Nepal and Oman a direct passage to the 2026 marquee event.

Notably, Nepal and Oman have delivered fabulous performances throughout the regional qualifier, banking on their all-rounders and batters. And their upcoming contest will be quite competitive.
