Indian great Virat Kohli brings up his 52nd ton In ODI Cricket
Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli delivered another dominant innings for India, slamming his 83rd international century and 52nd in ODIs in the first ODI between India and South Africa at Ranchi on Sunday. Kohli reached his hundred in just 102 balls, featuring seven fours and five sixes.
With this ton, Kohli now stands alone with 52 centuries in ODIs, making him the player with the most hundreds in men’s ODI history. It was Kohli’s first century in a home ODI since the 2023 World Cup, when he struck a ton against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, his last ODI hundred came earlier in 2025 against Pakistan during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Kohli now has the most ODI centuries against South Africa.
