Young stars Kamalini and Vaishnavi Sharma earn maiden call-ups as India name squad for Sri Lanka T20Is

Young talents G Kamalini and Vaishnavi Sharma have earned their maiden national call-ups for the upcoming five-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, scheduled later this month. The series will mark India's first assignment since winning the ODI World Cup last month. Vaishnavi Sharma has been one of the standout bowlers in domestic cricket this season and was also India’s leading wicket-taker at this year’s U-19 Women’s Cricket World Cup, taking 17 wickets.
Meanwhile, experienced names Radha Yadav, Yastika Bhatia, and Sayali Satghare, who all were part of the previous T20I series against England, have been left out. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the 15-member squad, while Smriti will continue to serve as her deputy. The five-match T20I series between both sides will begin on December 21.
