Oman unveil squad for T20I World Cup 2026, Jatinder Singh to lead
Oman have unveiled their 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, with experienced batter Jatinder Singh named captain for the global tournament. Wicketkeeper-batter Vinayak Shukla has been appointed vice-captain.
Shukla’s consistency behind the stumps and improving returns with the bat have earned him a leadership role as Oman prepare to face the challenge from top teams. Oman have left out Aamir Kaleem from the squad despite him being Oman’s standout performer in the recent Asia Cup.
In fact, Oman have made five changes from the squad that featured in the Asia Cup. Meanwhile, they have been drawn in Group B along with Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland and Zimbabwe.
