Suryakumar Yadav makes massive gains in the T20I batters' rankings

India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has made huge gains in the ICC T20I batting rankings. After enduring a relatively quiet phase, Suryakumar announced his comeback with two unbeaten knocks against New Zealand in the ongoing five-match T20I series. He scored a brilliant 82 not out in the second game, which was followed by a composed 57 not out in the third T20I. Those back-to-back half-centuries have lifted him five places, pushing him up to No. 7 in the latest rankings.

The left-hander has further cemented his position at the summit of the batting rankings after a blistering run of scores in the ongoing series. Abhishek hammered 84 off 35 balls and followed it up with an unbeaten 68 from 20 deliveries. With 929 rating points, he enjoys a commanding 80-point lead over England’s Phil Salt, who sits in second place.
In the all-rounders’ rankings, Hardik Pandya has edged up by one spot to claim third place. Shivam Dube has jumped six places to No. 11 among all-rounders. He has taken three wickets in the ongoing series and scored an unbeaten 36 off 18 balls in the second T20I. Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has also made gains, moving four spots to No. 13.
