West Indies knock down Nepal in massive win

Delivering a magnificent performance, West Indies thrashed Nepal by nine wickets in the 25th match of the ongoing T20 World Cup at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. Chasing a modest target of 134, West Indies displayed effectiveness with the bat, reaching 134/1 in 15.2 overs.
Captain Shai Hope led from the front with an unbeaten 61, anchoring the innings fluently. Shimron Hetmyer also played a big role, contributing 46 runs as the pair smacked Nepal's bowling attack with ease. Nepal, on the other hand, struggled to create breakthroughs or apply pressure, allowing West Indies to wrap up the game comfortably with 28 balls to spare.
Earlier, Nepal endured a shaky start after being put into bat. The top order faltered under early pressure, losing three wickets inside the powerplay, including both openers and captain Rohit Paudel. Reduced to 46/5 at one stage, Nepal were left in shambles.
However, star batter Dipendra Singh Airee mounted a spirited recovery effort. His gritty 58 off 47 balls steadied the innings and rebuilt some respectability. Down the order, Sompal Kami fired a brisk 26 off 15 deliveries, helping Nepal reach 133/8 in 20 overs. Meanwhile, West Indies’ bowling effort was spearheaded by the experienced Jason Holder, who claimed four crucial wickets.
