Dravid, Binny and Mithali Raj to receive BCCI’s Lifetime Achievement awards

Rahul Dravid, Roger Binny and Mithali Raj are set to be honoured with the prestigious Col. C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award. The award, the highest recognition presented by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), recognises their immense contributions to Indian cricket. The trio will receive the honour at the upcoming BCCI Naman Awards ceremony on Sunday. Rahul Dravid represented India in 509 matches across formats, amassing more than 24,000 runs and establishing himself as one of the most dependable batters in cricket history. As captain, he led India to a landmark Test series victory in England in 2007. After retiring, Dravid also coached the Indian men's cricket team. Under his guidance, India achieved a major milestone by winning the 2024 Men's T20 World Cup.
Former Indian all-rounder Roger Binny also played a significant role in shaping Indian cricket. He featured for India in 27 Test matches and 72 ODIs. His most memorable achievement came during the 1983 Cricket World Cup, where he finished as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker, helping India claim their first-ever World Cup title.
Mithali Raj also had a remarkable career in international cricket. She played 333 international matches for India across formats. India’s ODI and Test skipper Shubman Gill will be honoured with the Polly Umrigar Award for Best International Cricketer (Men) for the second time for the 2024–25 season. While Smriti Mandhana will receive the Best International Cricketer (Women).
