India women to tour South Africa for multi-format assignment

South Africa women are set for high-profile visits from India and Australia. South Africa women are set to host India women in a high-profile one-off Test match set to be played from December 20 in Gqeberha. In fact, the action begins with India women touring South Africa for a multi-format series. The tour will begin with a three-match ODI series, which is part of the ICC Women's Championship, on December 9 in Potchefstroom.
The series then moves to Bloemfontein for the second game before concluding at the Newlands Cricket Ground. The one-off test is particularly crucial, as it will be the fourth Test meeting between the two sides. Historically, India have had the upper hand, winning all previous encounters in 2002, 2014, and 2024. Following India's visit, South Africa will welcome Australia for a multi-format visit. It will be Australia’s first full-fledged tour of South Africa.
Australia's tour begins with a three-match T20I series starting March 18 in Kimberley. The teams will then travel to Benoni and East London for the remaining matches. Following the shortest format, both sides will meet in ODIs, beginning March 27 in Gqeberha. The second match will take place in Paarl, before the series concludes in Durban on April 3. The tour will end with the only Test match, scheduled to be played from April 8 to 11.
"We are delighted to host two of the world's leading teams in India and Australia for what promises to be a blockbuster home summer for the Proteas Women," CSA Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki said in a statement.
"These tours will showcase the very best of international women's cricket and build on the encouraging rise in fan attendance, as we continue to welcome growing crowds across the country to watch world-class players competing at some of our iconic venues,” Moseki added.
