Teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi dazzles as RR crush RCB

Rajasthan Royals’ rising star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his remarkable run of form with a stunning knock that powered his team to a blistering six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Guwahati on Friday. The young left-handed opener lit up the match with an electrifying 78, demonstrating fearless strokeplay against a quality bowling attack. His innings, featuring eight boundaries and seven sixes, gave RR a splendid start and put RCB’s experienced bowlers under pressure.
Sooryavanshi took on the likes of Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar with confidence, unleashing a barrage of boundaries. Chasing a big target of 202, Rajasthan Royals maintained rhythm even after Sooryavanshi’s departure. Dhruv Jurel stepped up with a mature and unbeaten 81, guiding the innings smartly. Ravindra Jadeja provided crucial support, remaining not out on 24, with RR sealing the win in 18 overs.
Earlier, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, asked to bat, posted a competitive total of 201/8, riding on a determined innings from captain Rajat Patidar. He took control of the innings during a precarious phase after a top-order collapse. Patidar steadied the innings with a much-needed 63 off 40 deliveries. His resilient knock helped RCB recover from early setbacks. In a late push, Impact Substitute Venkatesh Iyer injected momentum in the final overs. His unbeaten 29 off 15 balls provided the finishing flourish, lifting RCB past the 200-mark.
