South Africa Women will take on India Women in the second T20I at Kingsmead in Durban on Sunday, with the hosts holding a 1–0 advantage after a convincing performance in the series opener. South Africa kicked off the series on a strong note, chasing down a modest target of 158 with composure.

Their captain Laura Wolvaardt, scoring 51, led from the front with a fluent half-century, anchoring the innings. Hard-hitting finisher Annerie Dercksen's 44-run knock helped the side seal the game with confidence. The Proteas’ bowling unit also delivered a disciplined effort, spearheaded by Ayabonga Khaka, who took three wickets.

India, on the other hand, struggled to maintain momentum throughout their innings. An explosive start at the top provided early impetus, and a composed knock of 47 unbeaten from the skipper Harmanpreet Kaur helped stabilise things later on. However, a dip in scoring during the middle overs cost them a bigger total.

Meanwhile, India's spin department stood out with controlled and impactful spells, but their pace attack lacked rhythm. However, India will be keen to tighten their overall execution to bounce back and level the series.
