India confirm women’s T20 World Cup 2026 squad

India have unveiled their 15-member squad for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, with captain Harmanpreet Kaur set to lead the side. Smriti Mandhana has been named vice-captain. The selectors have largely placed their faith in familiar faces that have been central to India’s recent success, including their ODI World Cup win in 2025.
The batting unit remains strong, with Mandhana, Shafali Verma at the top and Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet in the middle order. India have also brought in newcomers in the squad. Bharti Fulmali, Nandani Sharma, Shree Charani, and Kranti Gaud have all earned their first-ever call-ups for a T20 World Cup.
Notably, all-rounder Amanjot Kaur misses out due to injury, and Harleen Deol and Pratika Rawal were omitted. India will begin their campaign on June 14 with a high-profile clash against rival Pakistan. The same squad will also play a three-match T20I series against England on May 28, May 30 and June 2, respectively.
