Gujarat Titans continued their strong run, sealing a commanding 77-run victory over Rajasthan Royals on Saturday in Jaipur. Gujarat’s all-round performance proved too much for the hosts as Rajasthan failed to stage a fightback in a high-scoring clash. Asked to bat, Gujarat Titans made full use of the conditions, with captain Shubman Gill slamming a stunning knock of 84 runs from 44 balls.

His innings gave Gujarat early momentum, guiding them towards a big total. Sai Sudharsan showed his consistency with a crucial knock of 55. Later in the innings, Washington Sundar scored a blistering 37* off only 20 deliveries, helping Gujarat Titans post a huge total of 229/4 in 20 overs.

In reply, Rajasthan Royals suffered an early setback when Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed cheaply. However, young batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi played a fearless cameo that briefly lifted the home side’s hopes. The youngster smashed 36 runs in 16 balls and also became the fastest player to reach 100 sixes in T20 cricket.

However, Gujarat Titans kept striking at crucial moments and never allowed Rajasthan to make their way into the game. The middle order failed to provide the support, with Shimron Hetmyer managing 6 runs and Donovan Ferreira scoring 4 runs. Regular wickets slowed Rajasthan’s momentum as they were folded for 152 in 16.3 overs.
