Angkrish Raghuvanshi ruled out of IPL

Kolkata Knight Riders have suffered a big setback as young wicketkeeper-batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been ruled out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League season after sustaining a concussion along with a fracture in a finger on his left hand. The injury occurred during KKR’s clash against Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens on Wednesday when he tried to pull off a difficult catch on the field.
He had been one of the consistent performers for Kolkata this season, scoring 422 runs in 13 matches and maintaining an impressive strike rate of 146.52.
"Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been ruled out of 2026 TATA Indian Premier League after sustaining a concussion and a fracture to a finger on his left hand while attempting a catch during Kolkata Knight Riders’s match against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday, 20 May," the statement from KKR stated.
Meanwhile, KKR’s campaign this season has been filled with ups and downs. The three-time IPL champions managed six victories and suffered six defeats, while one of their matches ended without a result. KKR currently sit sixth in the standings with 13 points, having no hope of qualifying for the playoffs. In their final league-stage match, they will be against Delhi Capitals in Kolkata on Sunday, with both teams already eliminated from the competition.
