RCB down GT to seal IPL 2026 final spot

Royal Challengers Bengaluru booked their spot in the IPL 2026 final in the most dominant way after crushing Gujarat Titans by a massive 92 runs at the HPCA Stadium on Tuesday. After being asked to bat, RCB batters unleashed absolute carnage from the beginning. Captain Rajat Patidar smashed a breathtaking innings of 93 off 33 deliveries. His explosive innings gave RCB complete control of the match.
The innings was further strengthened by Virat Kohli, who continued his remarkable consistency with a well-made 43. During his innings, Kohli also became the first batter ever to score more than 600 runs in four successive seasons in the history of the IPL. All-rounder Krunal Pandya also played a crucial role with a rapid 43, helping RCB pile up a mammoth 254/5 in 20 overs - the highest team total ever recorded in an IPL playoff match.
Chasing the target, Gujarat Titans suffered a stunning collapse. Opener Sai Sudharsan endured an unfortunate dismissal after getting out hit-wicket, while skipper Shubman Gill failed to make an impact, departing for two runs. The early wickets completely derailed Gujarat’s chase. Rahul Tewatia tried to counterattack, top-scoring with 68 off 43, but his knock went in vain as Gujarat Titans were bowled out for 162 in 19.3 overs.
