BAN vs AUS, 3rd ODI: Bangladesh target historic whitewash as Australia fight to salvage pride

Bangladesh will lock horns with Australia in the third and final ODI in Dhaka on Sunday. The hosts are riding high on confidence at an all-time high, having already secured the series. They now have an opportunity to clean sweep the series. So far, Bangladesh have delivered successful performances to register their first-ever bilateral ODI series win over Australia.

Now, having already created history, Bangladesh will be eager to finish the series on a positive note. For Australia, the series has been a disappointment so far. They have struggled to adapt to the conditions and find consistency. It is quite clear that the series result can no longer be changed, but avoiding a 3-0 defeat will be a major challenge for Josh Inglis's side. On the other hand, Bangladesh would look to fire on all cylinders. The big reason behind Bangladesh's success has been the dominance of their bowling attack.

The home side has repeatedly put Australia under pressure with strangling spells. In the opening match, young pace sensation Nahid Rana made a strong impression, while in the second ODI, experienced campaigners Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman took centre stage with a powerful display to rip through the Australian batting lineup. Bangladesh's batting unit has also played a brilliant role. Each player has stepped up in times of need.
