BAN vs AUS, 2nd T20I: Matt Renshaw stars in Australia's series-clinching win

Matt Renshaw cracked a marvellous knock of 89* as Australia romped to a series-clinching win, beating Bangladesh by seven runs in the second T20I in Chattogram on Friday. The visitors came out with another amazing all-round performance to overcome a spirited challenge from Bangladesh, who remained in control for a crucial phase of the chase, but Australia's bowlers delivered under pressure in the closing overs to snatch victory from the hosts. Australia, deciding to bat, got off to a bleak start, losing openers Josh Inglis and Mitchell Marsh for low scores of (11) and (20), respectively.
Even young gun Cooper Connolly had a disappointing outing, contributing only one run before being dismissed by threatening Nahid Rana. However, things were brought under control by big-hitting Matt Renshaw, who plundered a timely knock of 89 from 52 balls, launching five sixes in an entertaining knock that marked his new career-best in T20Is. His innings guided Australia to a challenging total of 196/5 in 20 overs.
Chasing the target, Bangladesh could not have asked for a better start after Tanzid Hasan and Saif Hassan hit 30 and 42, respectively, to set a perfect platform. But after their wickets Bangladesh's chase lost the momentum as they lost Soumya Sarkar, who was looking in fine touch, early on. Still, Pervez Hossain Emon and Tawhid Hridoy led a sensational turnaround, firing 36 and 35, respectively, yet Bangladesh failed to go over the line, being limited to 189/6 in 20 overs.
