The sixth edition of the Hundred Men's competition is set to commence on Tuesday with the competitive clash between MI London and Sunrisers Leeds at The Oval. Mumbai Indian (formerly Oval Invincibles) will head into the tournament as defending champions, having clinched the title last year after beating Trent Rockets by 26 runs in the final at Lord's.

Notably, the names of three teams have changed. The Northern Superchargers will now be known as Sunrisers Leeds, the Oval Invincibles as MI London, and the Manchester Originals have changed their identity to the Manchester Super Giants.

It is also to be noted that the men's and women's tournaments will run concurrently. In the women's competition, Indian players like Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma will also turn up for their respective teams. 

As far as the tournament's format goes, the top side after the group stages will straightaway make it to the final. While the second and third-placed teams will face each other in the Eliminator on 14 August, with the winning side qualifying for the final that will be played on 16 August.
