CPL 2026: ACB revokes Noor Ahmad’s NOC, St Lucia Kings bring in Tim Seifert as replacement

Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad will not be featuring for St Lucia Kings in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 following Afghanistan Cricket Board’s decision to revoke his no-objection certificate (NOC). Meanwhile, the franchise has named New Zealand’s power-hitter batter Tim Seifert as his replacement for the remainder of the season.
"Noor will no longer be available to represent the Saint Lucia Kings for the remainder of the tournament. The franchise is disappointed that Noor will be unable to join the team and wishes him all the best,” the CPL franchise said in a statement.
"In the meantime, the St Lucia Kings look forward to welcoming Tim Seifert, who is currently on his way to Saint Lucia to join the squad."
Having made his CPL debut for Kings in 2024, Noor has so far played 12 games for the franchise, nabbing 12 wickets. He was most recently seen in the Hundred’s final, turning up for Manchester Super Giants helping them win the final against Trent Rockets with three wickets. On the other hand, St Lucia Kings are sitting on fourth spot in the points table with two wins in five games.
