Pakistan make sweeping changes ahead of 3rd Test against England
Pakistan have reshuffled their squad ahead of the third Test against England, making sweeping changes to both their playing squad and coaching staff as they look to end the series on a winning note. As many as seven players have been released from the squad, with Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Ali Usman, Aamir Jamal, Muhammad Awais Zafar and Khurram Shahzad all set to leave the squad.
Meanwhile, Saim Ayub, Abdullah Fazal and Arafat Minhas have been added to the squad. Pakistan have also brought in four uncapped players in Saad Baig, left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Imran Jnr, Mohammad Imran Randhawa and Razaullah.
There are also changes in Pakistan’s coaching staff, with Sarfaraz Ahmed stepping down from his position as head coach, and Umar Gul has also left his role as bowling coach. In their place, white-ball head coach Mike Hesson and bowling coach Ashley Noffke will take over the responsibilities.
