About Lea Tahuhu
In an interview conducted by Black Caps, Lea Tahuhu was asked: How did you get into cricket? And her answer: It was a primary school teacher that saw me mucking around at school and asked if I wanted to go along to his club and play properly.
A tall right-arm fast bowler, Tahuhu came from Christchurch and played for Canterbury Magicians in the State League. She started playing domestic cricket since the age of 18 and within two years of her first-class debut, Tahuhu was included in the White Ferns squad.
Tahuhu's first taste of international cricket was against rivals Australia in 2011, a trip she would not want to remember as she leaked plenty of runs and bagged very few wickets in return.
