Qais Ahmad, having played one ODI so far, has been added to the squad to fill the place left vacant by Rashid khan. All-rounder Gulbadin Naib will too be making his return to the ODIs, having delivered with an impressive performance during Afghanistan’s tour of India for the three-match T20I series earlier this year in January. Hashmatullah Shahidi will continue to lead the side.

Afghanistan Squad: Hashmatullah Shahidi (c), Rahmat Shah (vc), Rahmanullah Gurbaz (WK), Ikram Alikhil (WK), Ibrahim Zadran, Riaz Hassan, Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi, Gulbadin Naib, Qais Ahmad, Noor Ahmad, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Fazal Haq Farooqi, Naveed Zadran and Farid Ahmad Malik.
