England begin ODI Tri-Series campaign against Pakistan in Rawalpindi

Pakistan will face England in the second match of the ODI tri-series on October 20 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. England, led by Harry Brook, will begin their campaign against the hosts, while Pakistan will look to continue their winning momentum after defeating Sri Lanka by 37 runs in the opening match. Pakistan started their campaign with an impressive batting performance against Sri Lanka. Salman Ali Agha scored a brilliant 107 off 90 balls to help Pakistan post a total of 305 runs. England will be keen to make a strong start under captain Harry Brook. However, they will be without Jos Buttler, who is unavailable due to injury, while Jofra Archer has been rested for the tournament.
Pitch Report
The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is traditionally known for its batting-friendly pitch, which offers good bounce and a relatively flat surface. However, the pitch can become slower as the match progresses, giving spinners an opportunity to make an impact. Fast bowlers may need to rely on accurate line and length, along with variations, rather than pace alone. Overall, the conditions are expected to favour batters early on, but spinners and disciplined fast bowlers could play a key role as the match progresses.
