AUS vs WI T20Is: World Cup preparations afoot as Australia and West Indies meet in first game

In a thrilling conclusion to the three-match ODI series, Australia had secured an outstanding 9-wicket victory in the third and final game to complete the series whitewash. As the focus shits to T20Is, Australia will take the field with a whole host of new faces under the leadership of Mitchell Marsh.
The first T20I match of the three-match series between Australia and West Indies will be played on Friday at Bellerive Oval, Hobart. This series will hold a tremendous significance for Australia with T20I World barely three months away. Australia will head into this series on the back of their 4-1 series defeat that they endured on their tour in India in December last year. Matthew Wade had led the team in that series.
However, this series will see Australia field a complete different set of players with the likes of Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, David Warner and Spencer Johnson among others. Australia, meanwhile, will miss the services of their seasoned players Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head. Four of whom have been rested following their upcoming tour of New Zealand.
West Indies, on the other side, will enter this series with their series triumphs against India and England in August and December last year respectively. West Indies thrashed India by 3-2, same result they came across against England, beating them to record 3-2 series victory. Despite having suffered setback in the ODIs against Australia, West Indies will be hoping to bounce back strongly.
Australia Probable XI: Mitchell Marsh (c), David Warner, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Matthew Wade (wk), Tim David, Aaron Hardie, Josh Hazlewood, Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zamp, Sean Abbott
West Indies Probable XI: Brandon King, Johnson Charles/Kyle Mayers, Nicholas Pooran, Shai Hope, Rovman Powell (c), Andre Russell, Romario Shepherd, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Gudakesh Motie, Alzarri Joseph
