AUS vs WI 2nd T20I: West Indies eye huge return after first defeat

Australia and West Indies are set to clash in the second T20I on Sunday at Adelaide Oval. With Australia leading the three-match series 1-0 after a convincing 11-run victory in the opening encounter, there’s going to be another captivating showdown between these two cricketing powerhouses.
In the first T20I held at Blundstone Arena, Australia asserted their dominance with a commanding performance furled by David Warner’s exciting 70-run knock. Put into bat, Australia posted a formidable total of 213/7 in 20 overs, propelled by brilliant contributions from David Warner, Josh Inglis and Tim David.
The West Indies bowlers struggled to contain the Australian batting lineup, however, Andre Russell and Alzarri Joseph claimed three and two wickets each respectively.
Chasing the target, West Indies got off to a promising start, with Brandon King (53) and Johnson Charles (42) sharing an opening stand of 89-run. But, Australian spinner Adam Zampa played a major role in providing crucial breakthroughs to Australia at regular intervals. West Indies fell (11) runs short of victory, despite valiant efforts from Jason Holder down the order.
West Indies will bank on their explosive batting lineup to deliver with a good outing to bring the series to 1-1. West Indies would hope for each player to step up for the team. Additionally, West Indies bowlers will be keen to put up a better performance and restrict Australian batsmen to a below par total.
