Sarfaraz Khan excited to link up with Virat Kohli during Bangladesh Tests

Indian batter Sarfaraz Khan is eagerly looking forward to sharing the dressing room with star batter Virat Kohli in India’s upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which is slated to start on September 19 in Chennai. Sarfaraz, who made his debut against England earlier this year, was unable to play alongside Kohli during that series due to Virat Kohli’s withdrawal for personal reasons.
This series will present a significant moment for Sarfaraz, as he will finally have the opportunity to collaborate closely with one of India’s premier batsmen. Recently, India named their squad for the first of Two Tests in which a lot of experienced and familiar faces were included.
"His passion and spirit are unmatched. Whenever I saw him, even in the pre-match meetings, he'd take charge and tell everyone how many runs he'd score off a particular bowler and break that down for everyone," Sarfaraz told JioCinema.
"To be gutsy enough to stand up and talk with such positivity in front of everyone and then deliver the next day is a very unique ability," he added.
Sarfaraz, who has also been part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the IPL from 2015 to 2018, talked about his first meeting with Kohli.
"I met him at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium for the first time. I had scored 45 runs in 21 balls here and he bowed to me. I had a lot of fun that day. It was a dream to share an Indian team dressing room with him it will come true in the future if I get the opportunity."
