New Zealand have announced their squad for the upcoming home Test series against England, and one of the biggest talking points is the return of veteran batter Kane Williamson, who makes his return from injury. Williamson was on the sidelines for an extended period due to a groin injury sustained during Sri Lanka series.

Recently, Williamson also missed the three-match Test series against India, which New Zealand clinched 3-0. New Zealand will be playing a three-match Test series against England, starting on November 28. Tom Latham will lead the side. Meanwhile, this will be the last Test series for veteran fast bowler Tim Southee, who announced his retirement plans on Friday.

Despite performing well, Ajaz Patel and Ish Sodhi have been left out of the squad. Mitchell Santner has been added to the squad for the second and third Tests.

New Zealand squad: Tom Latham (c), Tom Blundell (wk), Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry, Daryl Mitchell, Will O’Rourke, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Mitchell Santner (2nd & 3rd Tests), Nathan Smith, Tim Southee, Kane Williamson, Will Young
