Sri Lanka have decided to rest Kusal Mendis, Pathum Nissanka, Kamindu Mendis, and Asitha Fernando for the third and final ODI match against New Zealand. The decision comes as Sri Lanka prepare for the upcoming Test series against South Africa. Kusal Mendis, meanwhile, was in stellar form in the last two ODs, racking up 217 runs.

In place of them, Sri Lanka have decided to include Nuwanidu Fernando, Lahiru Udara, and Eshan Malinga in the squad. Sri Lanka are already leading the series 2-0, having decimated Balck Caps in the last two games. The third and final ODI will be held on November 27 in Pallekele. And, the two-match Test series against South Africa will begin on November 27, with the first game in Durban.
