India name squad for ODIs against Australia Women, Richa Ghosh returns

Indian opener Shafali Verma has been left out of India’s squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia owing to poor form. Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh has made her return to the side after missing the home ODI series against New Zealand Women due to her board exams. The 16-member Indian squad will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur.

Players like Priya Punia, Harleen Deol and Titas Sadhu have also been named in the squad. The first two ODIs will be held in Brisbane on December 5 and 8 respectively, while third ODI will be played in Perth on December 11. 

Pooja Vastrakar, who was rested against New Zealand, continues to miss out. While, Asha Sobhana, who was ruled out against New Zealand due to an injury, continues to be unavailable.
