IPL 2025: KKR’s Sunil Narine fit to play against Mumbai

Sunil Narine is set to return to action for Kolkata Knight Riders’ upcoming match against Mumbai Indians on Monday at the Wankhede Stadium. Narine had missed the KKR’s previous game against Rajasthan Royals due to not being well, but he has now recovered and is fit to play. His return will be a significant boost for KKR as they look to strengthen their squad and make an impact against Mumbai Indians.
Narine resumed training on Saturday after the team arrived in Mumbai from Guwahati. He was also part of the squad that trained on Sunday.
“Sunil is 100 per cent fit. He has definitely recovered well and he’s been practising since yesterday. Today he is practising as well so he is absolutely fine at the moment,” head coach Chandrakant Pandit said on Sunday.
In the match against Royals, Moeen Ali had replaced Narine and he had done pretty well with the ball, claiming Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana to return with 2 for 23 from his four overs.
