Tim David returns for RCB ahead of IPL 2025 resumption
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been bolstered by the return of Tim David as they gear up to seal their spot in the IPL 2025 playoffs. The Indian Premier League is set to resume on May 17 following a one-week suspension due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan. Apart from Tim David, RCB have also confirmed the presence of Jacob Bethell, Liam Livingstone and Phil Salt for the latter stages of the tournament.
Tim David, who has been a solid pillar for RCB in the middle order, having scored 186 runs in 11 games, will be expected to play a crucial role once again as RCB aim for their maiden IPL title. Still, RCB are waiting for the return of Josh Hazlewood and Lungi Ngidi.
Australian pacer Hazlewood is recuperating from a shoulder injury, while Lungi Ngidi remains in doubt following his inclusion in South Africa’s squad for the World Test Champions final against Australia in June. RCB, who will face Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday, are sitting positioned second in the points table with 16 points and a positive NRR of +0.482.
